The OAC provides the following advertising opportunities.....
Advertising on www.opticians.ca includes a banner on the front page of the website and a box ad on all inside pages of the website. Advertising is limited to four (4) companies per quarter to ensure ample exposure for our advertisers.
The OAC website is available in both English and French. The website averages 5600* sessions and 39600* page views per month. Visitors to our site consist of National and International Opticians, other Eye Care Professionals, Optical Program students and the public.

Advertising in our monthly e-Newsletter, THE OAC INTRACOM, is limited to two (2) banner ads per newsletter to ensure the highest exposure.
With an average open rate of approximately 50%, THE OAC INTRACOM, is sent out to OAC Members on a monthly basis and to non-members on a quarterly basis, in both of Canada’s official languages, English and French.
Our database list of members and non-members totaling approximately 6800 (and growing), consists of Licensed Opticians and Optical Program students across Canada, International Opticians, as well as Association, Regulatory and Optic-related Company representatives.
SOCIAL MEDIA 'WORKFORCE WEDNESDAYS' (EMPLOYMENT ADS) *NEW: EFFECTIVE JULY 2020*
The OAC utilizes our Facebook and Twitter platforms (with over 4400 followers) for ‘Workforce Wednesdays’. If you are looking to hire an Optician or Opticianry student, the OAC will post your ad on our Facebook page and Twitter feed for FREE.
Depending on the number of ads each week, ads will be posted each hour throughout the day every Wednesday. Each ad is only posted one time on the Wednesday. Companies are limited to a maximum of two (2) ads per Workforce Wednesday and only if the ads are for different positions/locations.
Workforce Wednesday Ad Specifications:
Ads can be provided in English, French or bilingual. French ads will only be posted on our French Facebook page.
Ads can be provided with text only, image only, or both image and text. *Please note that posts with images draw more attention than text only.

- send us the highest resolution image available; we will resize the image to work on social media

The Opticians Association of Canada (OAC) has an extensive online continuing education library available to its members for use towards their professional learning requirements. The online library consists of electronic module articles as well as video modules. New content is consistently being added to the online library for the benefit of our members.
OAC members receive unlimited online modules per year as a benefit of membership.
