OPTO-lympics

The Opticians Association of Canada – BC Chapter is hosting the 1st ever Opto-lympics! This event is open to Licensed Opticians, students enrolled in an accredited Opticianry program and employers, with the intent of combining a competitive and fun atmosphere with networking and potential career opportunities.

Please note: Attendees do not earn CE credits for attending this event

THIS IS NOT A JOB FAIR - While this event is focused on providing attendees with potential career opportunities, this event will be different from those you may have attended in the past. Everyone who attends this event will receive a program at the end of the event containing current job postings and/or the contact information for companies who may be looking for Opticians and/or student Opticians to fill positions with their company. It is up to the attendee what they do with this information after the event is over.

'IN IT TO WIN IT' GAMES - This is going to be SO MUCH FUN! The Opto-lympics consists of teams completing ‘In It To Win It’ games. Contact Case Relay Race, Build-A-Frame, Opto-hero… these are just a few of the fun activities we have in store. Throughout the OPTO-lympics, team members will earn ballots towards winning prizes at the end of the event.

The GRAND PRIZE to be won….. a TRIP FOR TWO (2) to Vision Expo East 2019, including flight, hotel accommodations (1 room) and event registration. Each team member earns one ballot just for registering their team!

While you aren’t ‘playing’ and earning prize ballots, chat with fellow attendees and enjoy some appetizers and refreshments.

Team Registration

Registration for the OPTO-lympics must be completed in teams of two (2). Space is limited so we encourage teams to register by September 20th. After September 20th, team registrations will be accepted on-site; space permitting.
